Mngt AMTAnne Marjorie Tomas is the Vice President for Marketing Services of Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc.  A veteran in the field of marketing and communications, Majo takes pride in being a decisive marketing leader, with a track record of solving difficult problems, strengthening client relationships, and driving operational efficiency. 

Majo possesses extensive experience working with the executive team, providing overall direction for companies across the organization by augmenting corporate vision, position, strategy, finance, manpower, and business reputation and PR. She has honed her expertise in brand research, value proposition and strategy, brand communication framework, reputation management, digital and influencer marketing, and app development. 

Concurrently the Managing Director of MindMover Solutions, Inc., an independent digital communications company in Manila, her proficiency spanned leadership roles in top multinational advertising firms under the McCann Worldgroup, including President of Harrison Communications, Managing Director of Momentum Worldwide, and AVP Head of Integration of Universal McCann, among others. 

Majo started her career in retail as the Advertising and Promotions Manager at Landmark in Makati City after obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in Japan Studies and Marketing at De La Salle University, Manila. 

 

 

KTablizoKareen A. Tablizo is the Vice President for Corporate Planning of Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. She was previously the Group Internal Audit Head of Vicsal Development Corporation and its group of subsidiaries, which include MRSGI, Taft Properties Development Corporation and subsidiaries, AB Capital Trust and Securities, Pacific Mall Corporation, and other businesses in the Food & Beverage, Microfinance and Logistics sectors.

Prior to joining the Vicsal Group, she was Director of Assurance and External Audit at Sycip Gorres Velayo & Company, where she handled annual financial audits of listed and private companies both local and subsidiaries of foreign multinational firms.

A certified public accountant, Tablizo possesses an in depth knowledge and experience in International Auditing Standards, process improvement, and project management. She is a member of Accounting Standards Group of SGV specializing in International Financial Reporting Standards (IRFS) for Small and Medium Sized Entities and is a regular speaker in Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and SGV Public Seminars on the implementation of IFRS for SMEs.

Tablizo completed her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the University of Santo Tomas, and obtained her Master’s Degree at Regis, Business Administration and Management, Ateneo de Manila University.

 

 

 

ALeoncioArnold M. Leoncio is currently the Vice President for Business Development and Investor Relations of Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (MRSGI).

Prior to this role, Arnold was the VP for Network Expansion of MRSGI from 2018-2022; and also held the position of Corporate Strategy Officer for Vicsal Development Corporation, the parent company of MRSGI, from 2012-2018.

Arnold has over twenty-five (25) years of experience in the service and manufacturing sectors, working in companies such as Accenture, CEMEX, Procter & Gamble, and Carrier Airconditioning Corp., both locally and abroad.

He completed the dual-degree Masters in Management and Manufacturing (MMM) Program at Northwestern University, in which he received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and an MS in Engineering Management from the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science.

His undergraduate degree is in mechanical engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman, where he graduated cum laude, and later placed 5th in the board exams of 1993.

RCabanillaRex Jun T. Cabanilla is the Chief Technology Officer of Metro Retail Sales Group, Inc. Prior to his appointment, Cabanilla held various operations and technology leadership roles with increasing responsibility as head of MRSGI's IT department. He managed customer facing and back office networks, enhanced in-house developed systems and helped formulate corporate IT policies and administrative systems, rising from the rank of Assistant Manager for Electronic Data Processing to Information Systems Manager.

Cabanilla brings with him over 27 years of IT experience in the service industry. He joined the organization in 1993 and provides leadership for the development and implementation of long-term strategic technology policies and operational systems and the management of an innovative, secure and streamlined IT Division.

Cabanilla’s IT expertise covers a vast suite of business applications specialized for the retail industry, ranging from point-of-sale platforms to merchandise management systems, personnel management, networking and communications infrastructure and database management, among others.

Cabanilla earned his Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering (BSECE) from University of San Carlos in Cebu City. He placed 8th in the ECE Licensure Examinations in 1988.

LMalazarteLucille S. Malazarte is the Treasurer and Chief Finance Officer of Metro Retail Store Group, Inc. (MRSGI). Before her appointment, she served as MRSGI's Vice President for Finance and Comptroller, as well as Financial Comptroller at Vicsal Development Corporation (VDC), the parent corporation of MRSGI, including other affiliates in retail, property, and financial services,  in-charge of overseeing overall financial operations, providing strategic direction, and ensuring efficiency.

Malazarte began her career as part of the auditing team of Sycip, Gorres, Velayo & Co., a respected provider of assurance, tax, transactions and advisory services.

Malazarte is a certified public accountant. She completed her Master’s degree in Business Management at the University of the Philippines, Cebu. She took up undergraduate studies, BS Accounting, at University of San Carlos where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
