AJacominaAntonio P. Jacomina III is the Vice President for Human Resources of Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (MRSGI).

Jacomina is a seasoned professional with 20 years of experience. His expertise includes strategic business planning design and facilitation, leadership development; talent acquisition, organization design and development; change management, employee relations and engagement, and policy development. These diverse capabilities were honed by his immersion in multinational companies with multicultural environments.

Jacomina started his career in 1989 as a technical staff under SGV Consulting’s Change Management Services. He also had stints in recruitment companies such as Ward Howell – ZMG International and Asia Partnership, Inc.

He then moved to Globe Telecom in 2002, starting out as Senior Manager for HR Planning and Research, and subsequently, for Change Management and Internal Communications. In 2006, he was promoted to HR Director and was HR Business Partner for the Consumer Business Group, Product Development Group, and GXI, among others. Throughout his stay, Jacomina played a major part in change management initiatives and employee engagement programs.

From 2010 to 2014, he worked with leading financial institutions namely Philam Life and Deutsche Bank AG Manila branch, where he was Vice President for HR.

Jacomina joined Danateq Philippines, an analytics software company, to lead the set-up of the HR function while providing support to regional offices in Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.

In 2015, he was hired by UPS International Inc. As Global Business Services (GBS) HR Area Manager, he implemented the company’s human capital strategy, provided consultative guidance to country site managers as well as spearheaded change and transition management support for work migration across GBS sites.

Before joining MRSGI in 2019, Jacomina served as the Head of Human Resources of Primer Group, a diversified retail and industrial company. He developed and implemented various HR strategies to support the company’s 5-year business plan.

Jacomina earned his bachelor’s degree in Management Economics at the Ateneo de Manila University and completed his master’s degree in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Glendale, Arizona, U.S.A.
